Hace veinte años, un atraco a un banco de alto nivel se torció. El cabecilla, Gasback Gallon Getaway, juró vengarse de su cuadrilla de apuñaladores por la espalda y del hombre que le impidió matarlos: Vash la Estampida. En la actualidad, la cuadrilla de traidores ha vivido la buena vida como empresarios y políticos de éxito. Aunque han pasado dos décadas, la amargura de Gasback no ha disminuido y pretende acabar con ellos uno a uno, por cualquier medio. Justo a tiempo para frustrar el complot de Gasback, Vash ha llegado a Ciudad Macca. Formando equipo con la misteriosa Amelia Ann McFly, junto con las agentes de seguros Milly Thompson y Meryl Stryfe, Vash está listo para hacer ruido.
