Sipnosis
Año 1988. Beth Cappadora es una fotógrafa felizmente casada con Pat, el dueño de un restaurante. El matrimonio vive en Madison con sus tres hijos. Un día, mientras están en un hotel con los niños, Ben, el más pequeño, desaparece, y a pesar de la búsqueda frenética que emprende la policía no consiguen encontrarlo. Nueve años más tarde, la familia, en principio ya recuperada del terrible suceso, vive en Chicago, donde Pat ha abierto un restaurante. Pero un día en su barrio conocen a un chico llamado Sam Karras que tiene un parecido asombroso con su hijo Ben.
